After all, the town is famous as a mountain health resort. It is also the site of the 1st "Kneipp für mich®" wellness village in Italy, located in a 5-hectare spa park with many other attractions. For those who'd like to learn more about the culture of the Tre Cime region, we recommend visiting Wassermann House, the Museum of Tourism.
Cycle enthusiasts & keen mountain-bikers
- Dolomiti Superbike: For the last 20 years, one of the toughest and most famous MTB races has been staged at Villabassa in South Tyrol. And when we say "tough", we really mean it. You can choose between 120 km + 3800-metre change in altitude (long route), or 60 km + 1700-metre change in altitude (short route).
- Are you looking for other challenges? Then try the Stoneman-Trail: at 115 km long and with a 4000-metre change in altitude, it's definitely not a stroll, but it can be done in several stages and the views are truly breath-taking.
- Don't worry - there are also some more leisurely cycle paths in Villabassa, such as the Puster Bike or the Drava Cycle Routes, which are suitable for the whole family.

… Lovers of mountains, meadows & pastures: Have you heard the call of the mountains, of an unspoiled natural setting with evocative pastures and forests? As Villabassa is right in the heart of such a landscape, there are lots of wonderful excursions which start just outside our front door. If you want to breathe some fresh mountain air, the best place to go is Monte Serla (2,378 m), home peak for the inhabitants of Dobbiaco and Villabassa. It is also considered the mountain with the most spectacular views... so what are you waiting for?
